According to the Ministry of Justice, there are around 3,500 drivers in the United Kingdom that were fined with an average amount of £ 185 for driving without an insurance coverage. In the United Kingdom, there are about 160 victims of uninsured drivers that lose their life. Those who are injured by uninsured drivers have risen to around 23,000.

These figures from the MIB or Motor Insurer’s Bureau only prove that uninsured drivers are more careless and irresponsible in their driving compared to drivers that are covered by an insurance policy.
While the average fine of uninsured driving is at £ 185, the maximum penalty for a driver driving without car insurance is at £ 5000. Apart from this whopping amount, the driver will also receive 6 to 8 penalty points on his driving license.
